1. Compound structure: When the organisation structure consists of several levels, communication can be delayed.
2. Rules and regulations: Rigid rules and complicated procedures can be an obstacle to communication.
3. Organizational facilities: Communication cannot be effective without sufficient facilities like suggestion box and complaint box, frequently held meetings.
4. Status: High status of superior may create a psychological distance.
