Solution

The difference between coil and inductor is as follows:

Coil

Inductor

The coil is an electrical conductor like a wire which is wound in the form of a spiral. An inductor is a coil device which has two terminals.
The coil is used in manufacturing electromagnets, electric motors, inductors, generators and transformers. The inductor has an insulated wire wound in the form of the coil around a core.
Coil passes electricity and generates a magnetic field around it. An electromotive force is induced in the inductor when current passes through it.
