Question

How do you difference sine and cosine graphs?

Open in App
Solution

Difference sine and cosine graphs :

Sine and Cosine graphs have the same shape but are translated 900along the x-axis.

y=cos(x)therefore crosses the y axis at 1, and the x-axis at 900 and 2700.

y=sin(x) however crosses the y axis at 0, and the x-axis at 1800and 3600.

They are the same shape, but the cos(x)graph is essentially shifted 900 to the left of the sin(x)graph.
