We have, $0.5 x - (0.8 - 0.2 x) = 0.2 - 0.3 x$
$\Rightarrow 0.5 x - 0.8 + 0.2 x = 0.2 - 0.3 x$
$\Rightarrow 0.5 x + 0.2 x + 0.3 x = 0.2 + 0.8$
$\Rightarrow x (0.5 + 0.2 + 0.3) = 1$
$\Rightarrow x (1) = 1$
$\Rightarrow x = 1$
