Solution

No. of Pastries = 15

No. of Biscuits = 12

No. of Identical boxes of pastries and biscuits = HCF of 15 and 12

Factors of 15 = 3 x 5 and

Factors of 12 = 3 x 4

HCF of 15 and 12 = 3

So, the no. of Identical boxes of pastries and biscuits = 3

No. of Pastries in a box = 153 = 5 and

No. of Biscuits in a box = 123 = 4
