Mole of NaCl=558.5=0.0854 (mol. wt. of NaCl =58.5)
By definition:
Molality=moleswt. of solvent in grams×1000
=0.08541000×1000=0.0854 m.
Volume of the solution =moledensity in grams/cc=10050.997cc
=1008 mL=1.008 L
Again by definition
Molarity=molesvolume of solution in litres=0.08541.008=0.085 M
Normality=0.085 N
(for NaCl, eq. wt. = mol. wt.)
Further, moles of H2O=100018=55.55 (per 1000 g)
(Supposing 1 mL = 1 g for water having density 1 g/mL)
Total moles = moles of NaCl + moles of H2O
