A Hydrilla plant is kept in a beaker containing water. It is covered with an inverted glass funnel and a test tube full of water is placed over it .Care is taken about the water level so that no bubble enters the test tube. The whole experiment is put in sunlight. It is found that the level of water is coming down and a gas accumulates at the upper end of the test tube. The whole experiment is conducted in red, blue and green light alternatively. After sometime some amount of Sodium bicarbonate is added to the beaker. Will these modifications affect the experiment in any way?
