The storage tank is a cube of volume 4096 m3.

Therefore the dimensions of the cube are 16 × 16 × 16

The present depth of water (h) is 12 m.

Therefore depth of water already used (hI) = 16 -12 = 4 m

Therefore volume of water already used = (l x b x hI) = 16 × 16 × 4 = 1024 m3
