Given that,
Area of the room is $4 \times 5.5 = 22 m^{2}$
Area of the verandah with room is $= (5.5 + 1.25 + 1.25) \times (4 + 1.25 + 1.25)$
$8 \times 6.5 = 52$
Area of verandah $52 - 22$
$= 30 m^{2}$
Cost of cementing $= 15 r p s$
Total cost of cementing $= 30 \times 15$
$= 450$ rps
Thus,
We get total cost of cementing $450$ rps.
