Solution

Draw the diagram and Join AC and AD in the diagram.

In triangles ABC and AED, it is given that

$A B = A E, B C = E D$ and $∠ A B C = ∠ A E D$

Therefore, by SAS rule we get,

$△ A B C ≅ △ A E D$

Thus by CPCT, we conclude that

$A C = A D$ .

Hence proved.
