Adaptive Immune System:

2. Adaptive immune responses are designed to eliminate invading infections and any harmful chemicals they create.
3. They are the second line of defense. Their response time is more than 96 hours.
4. Examples are B-cells and T-cells, etc.

B-cells:

1. B-cells are White Blood Cells (WBC) that produce antibodies to combat germs and viruses.
2. They are lymphocytes and develop from bone marrow from hematopoietic stem cells (HSCs). They are part of the adaptive immune system.
