The following are the societal concerns that the marketing manager would face.
a. The activities carried out in the business must not harm the environment in any manner such as in the form of pollution.
b. Facilities in the hotel are offered at fair and just prices.
The following steps can be taken in order to take care of these concerns.
a. One of the steps that can be taken with regard to pollution is that it must be ensured that the wastes from the hotel must be appropriately managed. For instance, by carefully segregating the biodegradable and non-biodegradable waste and disposing them accordingly.
b. The staff of the hotel must be trained and given strict instructions that price charged for any of the items that the customer purchases from the hotel (such as packaged drinking water, softdrinks, etc.) must not be greater than the maximum selling price of the item.
