The given fractions $\frac{2}{4},\frac{3}{6}$ are unlike fractions because they have different denominators.

When we compare two unlike fractions, we first get their equivalent fractions with a denominator which is a common multiple of the denominators of both the fractions.

The LCM of 4 and 6 is 12.

The equivalent fractions with the same denominator are :

$\frac{2}{4}=\frac{2\times 3}{4\times 3}=\frac{6}{12}$ and $\frac{3}{6}=\frac{3\times 2}{6\times 2}=\frac{6}{12}$

Now, $\frac{6}{12}=\frac{6}{12}$

$\therefore$ $\frac{2}{4}=\frac{3}{6}$
