Solution

The correct option is C CaCl2.6H2O(s) acts as effluoroscent substance
For the process:
CaCl2.6H2O(s)CaCl2(s)+6H2O(g)
Equilibrium constant is given by:
Kp=p6H2O=6.4×1017atm6
or pH2O=0.002 atm
As 760 torr=1 atm
1.14 torr=1.14/760 atm=0.0015 atm
When partial pressure of water reduces from 0.002 atm to 0.0015 atm, the equilibrium will shift to forward direction so as to increase the partial pressure, according to Le-Chaterlier's principle.
Therefore CaCl2.6H2O will lose water and act as effluorescent.
Option C is correct.
