The angle of emergence is the angle of the light ray coming out of a medium perpendicular to the surface at the point of emergence.
The angle of emergence is the angle at which light emerges from a medium (for example a glass slab with parallel sides like a prism).
The first medium is air, the middle medium is a parallel-sided glass slab and the final medium is air
