When two lines meet each other at a right angle then those lines are referred to as perpendicular lines. When a line intersects another line at $90 º$ , then we say that the line is perpendicular to it. The symbol used for the perpendicular is $‘ ⊥ ’$ . For example, if line $L_{1}$ meets line $L_{2}$ at $90 º$ then we can say that $L_{1}$ and $L_{2}$ are perpendicular to each other and can be represented as $L_{1} ⊥ L_{2}$ .
