These are plant-eating animals ( herbivores) that eat the plants directly or eat their products such as fruits, flowers, etc.​ ​	Secondary consumers are animals that feed on the herbivores and they are called carnivores.​ ​	The animals that obtain their food by eating primary and secondary consumers,are called tertiary consumers or top carnivores.​ ​
Example: Grasshopper, rat, deer, etc.​ ​	Example: Snake, lizard, etc.​ ​	Example: Peacock, eagle, etc.​ ​
