Crocodiles are semiaquatic reptiles that are found in the tropic regions of Africa, Asia, America, and Australia.
They have a four-chambered heart which is divided into separate chambers that help prevent the mixing of oxygenated and deoxygenated blood.
Most reptiles only have a three-chambered heart (two atria and one ventricle). Crocodiles are an exception as they have a four-chambered heart (two atria and two ventricles).
They have a complicated blood circulation system as they spend most of their time underwater.
The four-chambered heart reduces the rate of circulation and prevents oxygen loss.
