Solution

Plant cells:

  1. Plant cells are eukaryotic cells found in green plants that are photosynthetic eukaryotes of the Plantae kingdom.
  2. Chloroplast, cell wall, plastids, and a big central vacuole are organelles found uniquely in plant cells.
  3. The chloroplasts contain the green pigment chlorophyll, which is responsible for photosynthesis.

(a) Nucleus:

  1. The nucleus directs and regulates the cell's operations (such as development and metabolism) and houses the genes that encode genetic information.
  2. It regulates cell function and development.

(b) Golgi apparatus:

  1. In plant cells, the Golgi apparatus is also where the complex polysaccharides of the cell wall are generated.
  2. As a result, the Golgi apparatus is involved in the processing of a wide range of cellular elements that pass via the secretory pathway.
  3. It transports materials from the endoplasmic reticulum.

(c) Cell wall:

  1. Plant cell walls provide tensile strength as well as resistance to mechanical and osmotic stress by covering the plasma membrane.
  2. It also enables cells to create turgor pressure or the pressure of cell contents against the cell wall.
  3. It allows bacteria to survive hypotonic external media without bursting.

(d) Cytoplasm

  1. The cytoplasm is in charge of retaining the cell's components together and protecting them from damage.
  2. It is in charge of providing the cell with its form as well as storing the molecules essential for cellular functions.
  3. It is the site of several metabolic events that are required to sustain life.

(e) Nucleoplasm:

  1. The nucleoplasm's primary role is to act as a suspension medium for the organelles within the nucleus.
  2. It also aids in the preservation of the nucleus' form and structure, as well as the movement of materials essential to cell metabolism and function.
  3. It is a fluid that is housed within the nucleus.
