During the electrolysis of copper (Ⅱ) sulphate solution using platinum as cathode and carbon as anode​ “State the change noticed in the electrolyte”.

The blue colour of the solution becomes lighter as electrolysis proceeds and becomes colourless at the end.This is because copper ions (blue colour)get discharged at the cathode.
Reaction at the cathode:
\(Cu^{2+}+2e^-\rightarrow Cu\)
