  3. The electric flux over a surface A is equivalent or comparable to the dot product of the electric field and the area vectors E and A.
  4. This same dot product of two vectors is the combination of their magnitudes multiplied either by the cosine of their angle.

Mathematically, electric flux can be represented as:

Here,

E is the electric field.

dA is the area of the surface.
