Bats do have eyes, but in the dark night, they see with the help of echoes. Bats make sound of frequency range of ultrasonic waves.
When they emit these ultrasonic sound waves, they get reflected in the form of echoes, after colliding with an object.
From the time between emission of ultrasonic sound waves and its echoes, they can evaluate the distance of that object or prey in front of them. They can also judge its size or if it is moving or not.
Thus, Bats use the scientific method to locate obstacles and prey in front of them.
