Solution

An normal good describes that good whose demand increases with an increase in income. A positive relationship exists between income and quantity demanded (ceterus paribus).

An inferior good refers to the good whose demand decreases with an increase in income (ceterus paribus). Thus there exists a negative relationship between quantity demanded and income of the consumer.
