There are three levels is panchayat system three levels in the diagram below:
The sarpanch is the head of the village. There is deputy sarpanch who manages work when Sarpanch is absent. Similarly, Taluka panchayat and Zila Parishad are headed by President and Vice President.
Apart from political executives, there are administrative executives. At gram panchayat the head of administrative executives is Talati-cum minister. For Taluka panchayat it is Taluka Development Officer. And at Zila Parishad level the administrative executives are headed by District Development Officer.
