After multiple revolts that took place in 1830, Louis Philippe was crowned as the king in France and the constitutional monarchy came to power.
Eventually, the government under his rule became conservative and the liberal-nationalists that consisted of educated people from the middle class background started to oppose the rule.
Political ideas: The liberals wanted to eliminate the autocratic form of government and also wanted to put an end over the authority of the church.
Economic ideas: The liberals supported free market and also wanted the restriction over the movements of the goods and capital to be removed.
Social ideas: The society was divided into different classes. Aristocrats used to enjoy the privileges in the society and the peasants had to suffer and therefore the liberals wanted to free the society from different social classes.
