Converting a mixed fraction into improper fraction :

Improper Fraction: The fraction whose numerator is greater than or equal to the denominator is called improper fraction .

To convert this we follow some steps :

Step 1: First we multiply the whole number and the denominator i.e., 3×6

Step 2: Now we add the numerator 2 to the product of 3×6

Step 3: So 18+2=20 is the new numerator .

So 623=203 is an improper fraction .

It is in simplest form because HCF(20,3)=1

Hence, 203 is the required improper fraction in simplest form .
