$\frac{4}{5} + \frac{2}{3}$

Solution

$\frac{4}{5}$ , $\frac{2}{3}$ are unlike fractions because their denominators are different.

The LCM of the denominators of the fractions i.e. LCM of 5 and 3 is 15.

$∴ \frac{4}{5} + \frac{2}{3} = \frac{4 \times 3 + 2 \times 5}{15} = \frac{12 + 10}{15} = \frac{22}{15} = 1 \frac{7}{15}$
