Area of △CHD = $\frac{1}{2}$ × b × h = $\frac{1}{2}$ × 2 × 4 = $4c{m}^2$

Area of △ADE = $\frac{1}{2}$× b × h = $\frac{1}{2}$× (2 + 4 +2) × 3.5

= $\frac{1}{2}$ × 8 × 3.5 = $14c{m}^2$

Area of trapezium HFBC = $\frac{1}{2}$ × h × (a + b)
= $\frac{1}{2}$ × 4 × (3 + 4) = 2 × 7 = $14c{m}^2$

Area of the polygon is the sum of the areas of the three triangles and the trapezium.

Area of polygon = 3 + 4 + 14 + 14 = $35c{m}^2$
