Step 1: Find the prime factors of the given numbers.

Given numbers: 50 and 60

By doing prime factorization of 50 we get,

Now, by doing prime factorization of 60 we get,

Step 2: Collect the maximum number of occurrences of each prime factor.

Prime factors of 50 =2×5×5

Prime factors of 60=2×2×3×5

2 has occurred 2 times, 3 has occurred 1 time and 5 has occured 2 times.

Therefore the LCM of 50 and 60 is 2×2×3×5×5=300.

Hence, the LCM of 50 and 60 is 300.
