The Logic behind obtaining the dot is evertime for next pattern you have to take previous answer and add another exceeding number from the previous one.
If you see the pattern in the number of dots, the difference between two consecutive dots keep increasing. For instance, 5 - 2 = 3, 9 - 5 = 4, 14 - 9 = 5 and so on.
