Find the value of given trigonometric ratio by using the trigonometric identity

Given trigonometric ratio: tan15

tan15can be expressed as, tan15=tan(45-30)

We know that tan(A-B)=tanA-tanB1+tanAtanB

So by applying the above identity we get,

tan(45-30)=tan45-tan301+tan45tan30

As, tan45=1, and tan30=13.

By substituting the values we get,

tan15=1-131+113=3-133+13=3-13×33+1=3-13+1

Hence, the value of tan15is 3-13+1.
