Find the value of $x$ in the following.

$5:x::30:6$

We know that if four numbers $a,b,candd$ are in proportion

i.e- .$a:b::c:d$

then $a\times d=b\times c$ …………………………….$eq\left(1\right)$

so, here in $5:x::30:6$

$a=5,b=x,c=30,d=6$

the by $eq\left(1\right)$ we have,

$$\begin{gathered} \Rightarrow 30\times x=5\times 6 \\ \Rightarrow 30x=30 \\ \Rightarrow x=\frac{30}{30} \\ \Rightarrow x=1 \end{gathered}$$

Hence the value of $x=1$ . which satisfied $5:x::30:6$
