Compounds:-

• The various types of substances that are composed of atoms of different elements are called compounds.
• By the means of a chemical reaction, the elements in a compound can be separated.
• Examples of compounds are table Salt$\left(\mathrm{NaCl}\right)$, Ammonia$\left({\mathrm{NH}}_3\right)$, Water$\left({\mathrm{H}}_2\mathrm{O}\right)$, etc.

Element:-

• The variety of substances that are made from one type of atom are called elements.
• Examples of elements are: Oxygen$\left({\mathrm{O}}_2\right)$, Nitrogen$\left({\mathrm{N}}_2\right)$, Carbon$\left(\mathrm{C}\right)$, etc.

Mixture:-

• The mixing of two or more elements or compounds is called a mixture.
• In this mixing of the elements or compounds, the individual components are not bonded chemically.
• Filtration, chromatography, evaporation, and distillation, are some of the methods by which we can separate a mixture.
• Examples of mixtures are: Soil, cement, etc.
