Solution

  1. Appearance of the colour of an object is determined by identifying which color or colors of light are absorbed or subtracted from the original set of coloured light.
  2. This process is known as colour subtraction.
  3. Mixture of colours - Colours absorbed= Appearance of colour
  4. For example: If ( green + red ) that is yellow light falls on a blue object, the object will absorb red and green and will reflect no colours.
  5. Hence, the object will appear black.
