Nucleus:

  1. A well-differentiated nucleus is a characteristic feature of eukaryotic cells.
  2. The nucleus is located at the centre of the cell and regulates all cellular activities.
  3. The nucleus is double membranous. It keeps the nucleus separated from the cytoplasm.
  4. The nucleus regulate all metabolism of the cell.
  5. In the nucleus, our genetic material (DNA) is found.
  6. The functional segments of DNA are called genes that determine our traits.
  7. DNA code for mRNA which is required for transcription.
  8. During cell, division nucleus divides and forms two nuclei. Along with this nucleus genetic material is also divided.
  9. During reproduction, the nucleus transmits characters from one to another generation.
  10. At the centre of the nucleus, the nucleolus is found that synthesizes rRNA.
