Steps to convert fractions into decimals

Defining Terms:

  1. The upper part of the fraction is denoted as the numerator.
  2. The lower part of the fraction is denoted as the denominator.

Now, divide numerator by denominator after cancelling out common factors and then report the quotient as answer. If the division is non-terminating then stop after 4 - 5 division cycles.

Example : Convert 18into decimal.

80.1251.0008201640400

So decimal form of 18 is 0.125.
