A number that divides another number with or without leaving a remainder is called a divisor.

Divisor $=$ Dividend $÷$Quotient , if Remainder $=0$

Divisor $=$ (Dividend $-$Remainder) $÷$Quotient, Remainder$\ne 0$

Example: Find a divisor if the dividend is $48$ and the quotient is $6$.

Solution: Dividend $=48$ and Quotient $=6$

Divisor $=$Dividend $÷$Question

Divisor$=48÷6$

Divisor $=8$

Therefore, the divisor of a number is given by the Divisor $=$Dividend $÷$Question.
