Here,
$a_{n} = 5 - 11 n$ …(1)
Taking n=1 in equ (1), we get
$\Rightarrow a_{1} = 5 - 11$ …(1)
$\Rightarrow a_{1} = 5 - 11$
$\Rightarrow a_{1} = - 6$
Now, taking n=2 in equ (1), we get
$\Rightarrow a_{2} = 5 - 11$ …(2)
$\Rightarrow a_{2} = 5 - 22$
$\Rightarrow a_{2} = - 17$
Now, taking n=3 in equ (1), we get
$\Rightarrow a_{3} = 5 - 11$ …(3)
$\Rightarrow a_{3} = 5 - 33$
$\Rightarrow a_{3} = - 28$
Now, we get the AP:-
-6, -17, -28, ….
Here, the common difference is
$\Rightarrow$ d = -17 - (-6)
$\Rightarrow$ d= -17 + 6
$\Rightarrow$ d= -11
