Solution

The correct option is A 12
a x 2 + 9 - 3 + (-6) + b x 2
Using associative property
a x 2 + b x 2 + 9 - 3 + (-6)
Using distributivite property
a x b + a x c = a x (b + c)
Now,
Using distributive property:
a x 2 + b x 2 + 9 - 3 + (-6)
= 2 x ( a + b ) + 6 - 6
= 2 x 6 [Given : a + b = 6]
= 12
