If 𝒙 and 𝒚 vary inversely, find the values of 𝒍, 𝒎, and 𝒏.

Let us take the values of x and y from the first two columns of the table, we get:
or, 24 × l = 32 × 12 = 384 (constant)
or, l = 384/24 = 16

Let us take the values of x and y from the second and the third columns, we get:
or, m × 8 = 32 × 12 = 384 (constant)
or, m = 384/8 = 48

Again, let us take the values of x and y from the third and the fourth columns, we get:
or, 16 × n = 32 × 12 = 384 (constant)
or, n = 384/16 = 24
So, x and y are in inverse proportion.
