The correct option is A $2$
$3 x^{2} + (2 k + 1) x - 5 = 0$
Sum of the roots $=$ Product of the roots
i.e., $a + β = a β$
or $- \frac{2 k + 1}{3} = \frac{- 5}{3}$ or $2 k + 1 = 5$ or $k = 2$
