Solution

The correct option is B

a = 3, b = 5

Since (x + 2) is a factor of x3(a+1)x2(b+2)x+10=0, f(2)=0
(2)3(a+1)(2)2(b+2)(2)+10=0
84(a+1)+2b+4+10=0
84a4+2b+14=0
4a+2b+2=0 ................(i)

Since (x-1) is a factor of x3(a+1)x2(b+2)x+10=0, f(1)=0
(1)3(a+1)(1)2(b+2)1+10=0
1a1b2+10=0
ab+8=0...................(ii)

Solving Equation (i) and equation (ii), we get a = 3 and b = 5.
