In a neuron, the end of the axon is known as _______.
axon terminals
A neuron can be divided into three main parts - the cell body or the cyton, the axon and the axon terminals. The cyton has processes called dendrites which bring impulses into a neuron. The axon carries impulses from the cyton to the axon terminal. The axon terminals are closely placed near the dendrites of another neuron but are not connected. Impulses leave a neuron through the axon terminal.
