$40$ sq. units

Area of trapezium $= \frac{1}{2} \times$ sum of parallel sides $\times$ distance between parallel sides.

$\Rightarrow$ Area of trapezium $A B C D = \frac{1}{2} \times (A B + D C) \times C E$

$= \frac{1}{2} \times (10 + 6) \times 5$

$= \frac{1}{2} \times 16 \times 5$

$= 8 \times 5 = 40$ sq. units
