Series

Parallel
Parallel occurrences or situations occur at the same time or are comparable to each other. For example, parallel negotiations between the foreign ministers of the two countries. Their instincts aren't always in sync with our own.
All components of a parallel circuit are linked across each other, resulting in two sets of electrically common points.
The sum of the power dissipated by the individual resistors determines the total power in a series circuit.
