Spectral lines obtained on account of trnsition from nth orbit to various lower orbits is =n(n1)2

6=n(n1)2

n=4

ΔE=hcλ=Z2n2(13.6 eV)

1λ=Z2(13.6 eVhc)(1n221n21)

1λ=(13.6)(3)2hc[1116]eV

λ=1242×16(13.6)×(9)(15) nm10.8 nm.

Hence option (D) is correct.
