Question

Number of particles in 8gO2 is?

Open in App
Solution

We need to find the number of particles in 8g O2.

We use Mole concept here.

We know that 1 mole of any gas contains Avogadro number of particles.

i.e, 32g O2 ( 1 mol) contains Avogadro number of particles.

32 g O2 => Avogadro number of particles.

So, 1 g O2 => (1/32) of Avogadro number.

Hence 8g O2 => 8 * (1/32) = (1/4) avogadro number

Avogadro number = 6.022 * 10^23

Thus 8g O2 contains 1.5055 * 10^23 O2 molecules.
