Solution

  • Closure property of integers is the following

Closure property under addition:

Integers obey the closure property under addition

for any two integers a and b, a+b is an integer

E.g 3+5=8 , 9+7=16

Closure property under subtraction

Integers are closed under subtraction

For any two integers a and b , a - b is an integer

E.g. 21-(-9) = 30 and 15 - 17 = -2 which are all integers

Closure property under multiplication

Integers are closed under mulltiplication

for every integer a and b , a×b is an integer

E.g. 5×4=20 and -7×9 = -63 which are all integers

Closure property under division

Integers are not closed under division

for every integer a and b a/b might not be an integer

E.g. 9/3 = 3 which is an integer but 14/5 = 2.8 which is not an integer.
