Explanation of carbon dating

  1. Carbon dating is a process that is used to calculate the age of different very old organic objects using a radioactive isotope of carbon that isC614.
  2. This radioactive isotope of carbon( C614 ) emits beta ( β) particles by which the proportion of C614 and C612 changes.
  3. By this, we can calculate the age of the object.
  4. Thus the radiation which consists of β-particles are used in carbon dating.

Thus the radiation C ( β-ray) is used in carbon dating.
