5) Draw perpendicular from $B$ and mark its pt of intersection with semicircle as $D$

6) Now $BD=\sqrt{x}$

7) Taking $B$ as centre and $BD=\sqrt{x}$ as radius construct an arc to make it intersect at $E$ on the line.

8) $BE=\sqrt{x}$

9) Start the number line from $B$
